A little about me

• My experience includes over 20 years of experience working with children and adolescents in agencies, schools, homes and clinics as well as serving as the director and supervisor of the New Horizon Counseling Center in Far Rockaway, NY. I currently have a private practice offering in person and virtual sessions in Hollywood, FL. Virtual sessions in New York. Licensed in FL and NY.
  
  My clinical approach is built upon my NYU education and my extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy by Dr. Glenn Pollack, Psy. D.
  
  Dr. Pollack was trained in these two approaches by their founders Dr. Aaron Beck and Dr. Jeffrey Young, respectively. Dr. Pollack is a noted lecturer, well respected therapist with a thriving private practice in multiple locations across New York State and is the Director of Counseling at the Manhattenville College Counseling Center.
  
  In addition I am a certified Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT) therapist. TF-CBT is a well established, evidence based treatment approach to helping children and their caregivers recover from traumatic experiences.
  
  An area I have been focusing on has been helping children and adolescents with anxiety related disorders, self-esteem issues and overcoming academic and social challenges.
